Flexible Scheduling at Our Childcare Center
Our reservation system currently only allows you to pick either full-day or Mid-day care. If you're interested in a combination of both, we recommend reserving full-day childcare for all the days you might need, as you’ll only pay for the actual time your child is in care at the end of your stay. We understand that plans often change, especially during vacations when managing schedules with children can be unpredictable. That’s why our childcare program is designed to provide maximum flexibility and peace of mind for families.
Flexible Reservations: You can easily adjust your plans as needed. If you’ve initially booked a half-day and decide you need a full day of care, you can seamlessly extend your reservation at any point during your stay. With this pay-as-you-go flexibility, you can confidently plan your vacation, knowing your childcare needs are fully accommodated. Let’s face it, your little one is our favorite collateral. We know they’ll have such a great time that you’ll love the flexibility as much as we do.
Avalanche Mitigation: When avalanche mitigation is scheduled, the road to Alta Children's Center will be temporarily closed and is usually expected to reopen around 8:30am. This may result in a delayed opening of our center.
As soon as the road is open and our team has safely arrived, we will send a message from our center phone to confirm that we are ready to welcome your children. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize safety during this time.
Winter Childcare Pricing at Alta Children's Center
Every reservation includes warm meals, enriching activities, outdoor fun (weather permitting), and the peace of mind that your child is cared for in a licensed, loving environment at the base of Alta Ski Area.
Full Day Child Care

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Perfect for a full day on the slopes! Includes two snacks, lunch, naps or quiet rest time, and a full day of creative play, crafts, and snowy adventures. Non-refundable $30 deposit with the reservation.
Any 4 Hours

Start any time – completely flexible
Choose the window that works best for you. Time starts when you check your child in. Ideal for a half-day ski session, spa break, or just a quiet breather.
Mid-day (10am - 3pm)

Hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Designed with your drive and day in mind—this option helps accommodate canyon traffic and mid-morning starts. We staff extra support during this time block to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality care.
10-Day Package

Pre-purchase 10 days to use throughout the winter season. Great for families planning several ski weekends or those with out-of-town guests.
20-Day Package
