Ms. Ilse is a German-speaking, South African-American, and a busy mama of two boys with 28+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the field since 1998 and is the 2016 Utah Early Childhood Teacher of the Year.
Ilse is the owner of Fairyland Child Care Inc., operating multiple high-quality childcare programs for the past 16 years, and she recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies.
When she’s not supporting children and families, Ilse loves to care for her pet chickens, tend to her garden, ski, hike, cook, bake, and travel the world—always bringing her passion for adventure, kindness, and learning back into her programs.
