Child Care Programs

Infant Care (6 weeks to 24 months)

Our Infant care program is available to children between six weeks and 24 months of age. Together, with you, we will create a daily program to meet the needs of your child’s diet, schedule, and routine. Our infant room is well stocked with the basic nursery items such as cribs, swings, toys, bowls, spoons, bibs, table food, juice, and milk. Of course, you are always welcome to bring anything specific you would like for your child. In addition, please be sure to bring the following items;

What to bring:

  • Diapers and Wipes
  • Change of clothes
  • Breast milk or formula (as needed)
  • Strained food (as needed)
  • Comfort item (pacifier, blanket, etc. as needed)

Please be sure to label all of your child’s belongings to ensure that they make the trip back home with you.

Children (2 years and up)

Children 2 years and above enjoy playing with our train table, play house, cars, blocks, dress-ups, and many other toys. Your child’s day will include art projects, musical games, morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, and rest time to keep your child happy and active all day. Children over two years old are also eligible to enroll in our Alta Pre-Ski program.

What to bring:

  • Diapers and wipes (as needed)
  • Change of clothes
  • Comfort item (pacifier, blanket, etc)

Please be sure to label all of your child’s belongings to ensure that they make the trip back home with you.

Alta Pre-Ski (2 years and up)

Now, even the very young can enjoy the thrill of Alta snow and be a part of the joy their family has found in skiing. After years of requests, Alta Children’s Center has developed the Alta Pre-Ski program. Children as young as 2 years old can begin their life-long love of winter sports at Alta.

During the 45-minute, one-on-one Pre-Ski lesson, we cover the basics of what to do when you go skiing – personalized to the needs and capability of your child. We spend time inside and outside on the snow. Pre-ski is not a ski lesson – rather it is a chance for prospective skiers to get a taste for skiing so that they will be ready for their first group ski lesson.

Children must be registered guests of Alta Children’s Center to participate. Reservations are suggested. Cancellation must be made before noon prior to the lesson or a full fee will be charged.

What to bring:

  • Snowsuit
  • Mittens
  • Helmet or hat
  • Goggles or glasses
  • Skis and boots

Rental equipment is available at Alta Sports next to the Alta Children’s Center.

Ski School (4 years and up)

The Alta Children’s Center works closely with the Alf Engen Ski School located on the ground floor of the Albion Ticket Building. If you wish to have your child participate in a half-day group lesson “Mini Adventure” or a private ski lesson, we can take your child to meet their ski class and/or pick them up afterwards. See the Alf Engen Ski School “Beginner Ski Adventures” webpage for more information.
